JOB LOCATION

This is a US REMOTE position.  

COMPENSATION

$150,000.00 - $195,000 / year, Exempt, with a discretionary bonus of up to 15%.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Sensei Ag is currently hiring for a dynamic and multifaceted leader to drive our real estate strategy, development, and portfolio management efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new land assets, managing our existing real estate portfolio, and overseeing facilities post-construction. You will work closely with our Construction team and collaborate with Finance, Strategy, Supply Chain, and EH&S to ensure sustainable growth and operational excellence.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Strategic Planning & Execution: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive real estate strategy that aligns with the company’s expansion objectives.  
  • Evaluate potential sites through market research, due diligence, and financial analysis to support growth initiatives.  

Land Acquisition & Asset Management: 

  • Lead all phases of the acquisition process, including site identification, due diligence, and negotiations with external partners and regulatory bodies.  
  • Possesses thorough working knowledge of site technical requirements (e.g., power, water, and related infrastructure) and serves as the single point of expertise for these critical aspects.  
  • Oversee the integration of newly acquired land assets into the company’s portfolio.  

Portfolio & Facilities Management: 

  • Manage the company’s existing real estate portfolio, ensuring that assets are maintained and optimized for long-term value.  
  • Oversee post-construction facility management, including operational performance, maintenance programs, and tenant satisfaction.  
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track asset performance and ROI.  

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with the Construction team to ensure smooth project execution, site development, and transition from construction to operational phases.  
  • Collaborate with Finance for budgeting, ROI analysis, and capital allocation.  
  • Align efforts with Strategy, Supply Chain, and EH&S to ensure that all real estate initiatives meet business objectives and compliance standards.  

Due Diligence & Legal Compliance: 

  • Manage legal, zoning, permitting, and regulatory processes in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Stay abreast of local, national, and international regulations impacting agricultural site development.  
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential regulatory, environmental, and market-related challenges.  

Reporting & Communication: 

  • Maintain regular communication with executive leadership on acquisition progress, asset performance, and strategic initiatives.  
  • Develop and manage unified reporting systems and dashboards that integrate insights from cross-functional teams.  

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in real estate acquisitions, asset management, and facilities management. 
  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
  • Strategic planning and execution with a focus on long-term real estate initiatives.  
  • Expertise in market trend analysis and opportunity identification.  
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, ROI analysis, and financial modeling.  
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate development, acquisitions, and portfolio management. 
  • Experience with facilities management and post-construction operations.  
  • Proficiency in managing legal, zoning, permitting, and regulatory processes.  
  • Effective project management skills for multi-disciplinary initiatives.  
  • Strong negotiation skills for deal-making and contract discussions.  
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.  
  • Proven ability to manage risks and implement contingency plans.  
  • Demonstrated leadership with a proactive, hands-on approach in dynamic environments.  

Bonus points if you have...

  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and green building certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL)  
  • Advanced proficiency with data analytics and real estate market analysis tools.  
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or specialized real estate credentials (e.g., CCIM)  
  • Experience with digital tools for project and contract management.  
  • Proven track record in negotiating complex, multi-stakeholder deals.  
  • Strong network and industry relationships within the real estate and construction sectors. 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, with peak travel during critical project phases and reduced travel during other periods.
