COMPENSATION
$34.00 - $41.00 / hour, Non-Exempt

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re on the lookout for a skilled Maintenance Electrician who’s ready to make a difference in our greenhouse. You’ll have the chance to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our electrical systems. If you have experience with industrial automation (like PRIVA!), control systems, heating and cooling, lighting, and irrigation machinery, we’d love to hear from you!
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, control panels, motors, pumps, sensors, and automation systems.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, PLCs, motor control systems, etc.
- Inspect and maintain electrical wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers in accordance with safety regulations.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes and workplace safety standards.
- Assist in the installation of new greenhouse equipment and modifications to existing electrical infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize downtime to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain records of electrical maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to support overall greenhouse operations.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical and workplace safety regulations.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in greenhouse, agricultural, or industrial settings.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Licensed Electrician (309A – Construction and Maintenance).
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, relays, contactors, and electrical panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work in hot, humid, or cold greenhouse environments.
- Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
Bonus points if you have...
- Experience with PRIVA (an automation system used in greenhouses)
- Familiarity with PLC programming and low-voltage systems is an asset.
- Experience with climate control systems and irrigation controls (fertigation and disinfection systems)
