JOB LOCATION

          This is an ON-SITE position located in Staples, Ontario

COMPENSATION

           $28.00 - $38.00 / hour, Non-Exempt

ABOUT THE ROLE

Sensei Ag is hiring a Maintenance Coordinator to manage maintenance in our greenhouse. This role involves monitoring maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs, keeping records, managing spare parts, and helping technicians. We want a candidate with strong experience in maintenance planning, good organizational skills, and the ability to communicate well with teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. 
  • Follow up with maintenance technicians and electricians on work orders to ensure timely completion. 
  • Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and greenhouse maintenance protocols. 
  • Assist technicians in completing tasks as needed. 
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate quick resolutions to minimize downtime. 
  • Monitor greenhouse equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs. 
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repair logs. 

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance coordination, planning, or a related role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. 
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office software, particularly Excel and Word. 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate between multiple teams. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. 
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, or cold greenhouse environments. 
  • Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when necessary.

  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
