$17.85/ hour, Non-Exempt

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're thrilled to share that the Packing Associate role is now available! This is a fantastic opportunity to help ensure that only the finest quality produce is packed into just the right containers. In this role, you'll play a key part in accurately labeling products that align with our high standards for food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your contributions will be essential in supporting our supply chain, as we work together to meet productivity and efficiency goals while keeping our operations running smoothly. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Visually inspect and handle fresh vegetables; grade by identifying different ripening stages, sizes and classification and package according to customer specification.  
  • Inspect produce and packaging for foreign object control pest or other contamination, report to personnel with authority.  
  • Responsible for the careful handling of produce; prevent bruising, or damage to the product; meet quality, food safety and packing standards set out by Line Leader and Supervisors.  
  • Cleaning and sanitization of all food contact surfaces and machines in the production area; maintain a clean work area throughout shift; report damage or mechanical issues to personnel with authority.  
  • Comply with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, Health and Safety, and company policies and procedures; ensure standards consistently meet expectations.  
  • Other core expectations as defined by the company. 

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

  • The position requires candidates to be physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. 
  • The ideal candidate is self-motivated and possesses the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 
  • Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining keen attention to detail. 
  • Please note that work hours may vary based on business needs; therefore, flexibility is required from candidates.

Bonus points if you have...

  • A solid grasp of packhouse operations.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety regulations, and Food Safety standards.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • High School Diploma.
