JOB LOCATION
This is on ON-SITE position located in Somis, CA
COMPENSATION
$35.00 - $42.50 / hour, Non-Exempt, plus 10% discretionary bonus.
WORK HOURS
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including overtime and weekends when needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join Sensei Ag as our next Facility Lead!
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the greenhouse and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations. This is a hands-on role that combines technical maintenance, project coordination, and general operational support. The Facility Lead works closely with the Grower / and other team members to keep systems running smoothly, implement preventative maintenance programs, and support day-to-day farm operations as needed.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program that ensures the site is kept up and running to the greatest extent possible and that necessary spare parts are kept in stock for quick turnaround.
- Manage site maintenance using Brightly, company's maintenance management software.
- Implement a work order system that allows for quick identification and the tracking of items needing repair.
- Lead construction/repair projects as necessary to maintain facility operations and or enhance the site
- Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance with equipment vendors and contractors
- Identify the most essential spare parts.
- Ensure the greenhouse is airtight and kept clean and sanitized.
- Promote and enforce safety and hygiene protocols across the facility.
- Assist with general site operations as needed, including shipping & receiving, inventory management, cleaning and material handling.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or similar roles.
- Experienced with automation equipment; food processing experience preferred.
- Skilled in plumbing and electrical maintenance and repairs.
- Competent forklift operator with warehouse experience.
- Ability to accurately record data and work with PM programs.
- Ability to work in an environment that can be hot, humid, and noisy for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in tight spaces to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and care of a large facility.
Bonus points if you have...
- Prior experience in greenhouse, controlled-environment agriculture, or food processing facility
- Experience in R&D environment.
- Knowledge of HVAC, automation systems, and environmental controls is a plus.
EDUCATIONAL / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Management, or Greenhouse Horticulture, preferred but not required.
