Sensible Care is now hiring an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Manager with proven talent for providing organization wide HR support, as well as developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to use creativity and problem solving when presented with obstacles, and the desire to contribute to a team that is committed to furthering business operations across multiple states. 

About the Role

As the Human Resources (HR) Manager, you will partner with clinical and nonclinical leadership teams by planning and administering policies, programs, and processes related to human resources. Your main areas of responsibility include payroll processing for W2 and 1099 personnel, labor relations and human resource matters, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, and regulatory and compliance adherence in all states that Sensible Care currently operates in as well as future expansion into new states. 

This position supports the outpatient mental health operations for Sensible Care in the following states: CA, VA, NC, TX, FL, NV, and WA and reports to the CEO. Additionally, the HR Manager acts as a vital bridge between Sensible Care’s management and its employees, ensuring effective communication and fostering harmonious working relationships.

As the Human Resources Manager, you will:

  • Process timely pay for 200+ W2 and 1099 personnel in accordance with employment agreements and company policies
  • Process compensation and job related concerns raised by employees
  • Conduct onboarding and offboarding of all personnel, e.g. I-9 verifications, background checks,

benefits enrollment, terminations

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal income reporting, tax payment, and labor laws
  • Administer employee benefits programs, e.g. 401K and health insurance
  • Employee Relations: Oversee disciplinary actions, terminations, investigations, and provide support for sensitive employee issues
  • Compliance Management: Adhere to federal, state, and local employment laws and regularly review HR policies for compliance and improvement

We’re Seeking Professionals With:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the behavioral health field is preferred.
  • Experience with Payroll Processing, Benefits Administration, HRIS systems, and relevant HR software, TriNet experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of general employment and labor laws, state and federal, particularly in CA, VA, NC, TX, FL, NV and WA.  
  • Ability to develop strategies, adapt to changing conditions, and assess organizational strengths and weaknesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, act professionally, and uphold ethical standards.
