Job Overview
The HR Business Partner plays a critical role in aligning human resources strategies with the company’s business objectives. This role involves close collaboration with leadership and department heads to design and implement HR policies and programs that support business goals. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic HR experience, data-driven decision-making, and a deep understanding of talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities:

  1. HR Strategy 
    • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies tailored to meet the needs of specific departments and the organization as a whole.
  2. Employee Relations and Engagement
    • Provide conflict resolution and employee relations support, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Promote employee engagement through surveys, feedback sessions, and organizational initiatives.
  3. Performance Management
    • Lead performance review processes, working with managers to set goals, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
    • Develop and implement training and development programs that support career growth and employee retention.
    • Support managers with performance improvement plans (PIPs) when necessary.
  4. Compensation and Benefits
    • Oversee the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
    • Conduct market research to ensure competitive salary and benefits offerings.
    • Advise leadership on salary structures, bonuses, and other incentive programs.
  5. Compliance and Policy Management
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Update and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring adherence by employees.
    • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality and accuracy of HR data.
  6. HR Analytics and Reporting
    • Use HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and drive decision-making.
    • Analyze HR data to identify trends and key metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve employee engagement, performance, and retention.
    • Analyze trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  7. Training and Development
    • Lead and design leadership development programs to support ongoing talent growth and organizational effectiveness.
    • Facilitate leadership and team-building workshops.
    • Track the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as necessary.
    • Support recruitment efforts by developing and executing talent acquisition strategies, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in HR Business Partner or related HR roles
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with HR data analytics and HR tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across departments
  • Understanding of performance management and employee development programs
  • In-depth knowledge of Korean labor laws and compliance requirements
  • Commitment to fostering a positive HR environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Adaptability to a fast-changing and dynamic work environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Native in Korean and fluent in English (business-level proficiency)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in tech or IT industries, especially in a startup environment
  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) management
  • HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR)
