POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Business Excellence Manager is responsible for supporting our clients in their quest to develop, install, and execute Operational Excellence Programs. You will be responsible for delivering a continuous improvement framework that enables clients to achieve a common continuous improvement language, processes, tools, and systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deploy, deliver, and develop competency that establishes holistic operational excellence programs for clients.
  • Play a key role in contributing to the overall organizational goals and strategy roadmap and execution for our clients.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process by translating strategic goals into operational goals.
  • Support the definition of organizational structure and allocation in support of Operational Excellence at the client.
  • Provide leadership for creating, developing, and communicating a strategic vision for Operational Excellence.
  • Develop transformation roadmap in partnership with client teams in support of their goals.
  • Coach leaders on appropriate problem-solving approaches (lean, six sigma, etc.) for key issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders that interact with the program strategies and goals.
  • Key Success Measures will include: Team engagement in improvement programs, Operational Excellence Maturity Assessments; Lean Six Sigma skills development, Measurable Improvements in Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
  • Apply business excellence methodologies in a range of settings including operations, labs, engineering, administrative functions, and other related business processes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in a related technical and/or business discipline or equivalent experience.

Technical Experience:

  • Minimum of 9-15 years of demonstrated leadership in the medical device industry or a directly related field.
  • Certified: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent with extensive project experience using LSS methodologies.
  • Strong background in holistic operational excellence structures and the associated tools/techniques.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comfortable guiding teams on operational excellence at all levels in their work environments.
  • Dynamic and engaging facilitation/training skills.
  • Solid coaching and mentoring competency.
  • Ability to convey and communicate complex concepts simply and clearly.
  • Self-starter, works independently and maintains a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with applicable Quality System requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.

COMPENSATION:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,537.14 yearly in our lowest geographic market up to $188,305.70 yearly in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
