About the Role

As a School Nurse (RN) with Serene, you will provide dedicated 1-to-1 care to students during the school day, ensuring their medical needs are properly managed so they can safely attend and participate in school.

This role is ideal for RNs who want:

You will collaborate with school staff, physicians, families, and clinical supervisors, while using your clinical judgment to deliver safe, effective care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 nursing care for assigned student(s)
• Assess, monitor, and manage conditions such as:
  • Seizure disorders
  • Asthma
  • Diabetes
  • Complex pediatric needs
• Perform skilled nursing tasks, including:
  • Medication administration
  • G-Tube feedings
  • Trach and ventilator care (if applicable)
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with care teams
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and medically appropriate school experience

Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Experience with Trach, Vent, and G-Tube care preferred (training available)
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

Compensation

• $45 – $48 per hour
• Skilled Visits: $60 – $75 per visit
