Qualifications

• Active New York State RN or LPN License

• Current CPR Certification

• Strong communication and patient care skills

• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to pediatric nursing

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with school personnel and healthcare professionals

• Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred but not required

About the Role

As a school nurse with Serene, you will provide individualized nursing care to students throughout the school day, helping ensure their health, safety, and well-being in an educational setting.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-on-one nursing care to students based on individualized care plans

• Monitoring student health and responding to medical needs

• Administering prescribed medications and treatments within your scope of practice

• Supporting students with chronic or complex medical conditions

• Communicating with families, school personnel, and clinical supervisors

• Maintaining accurate nursing documentation

• Helping create a safe and supportive learning environment

Pay Ranges

Registered Nurse (RN): $45–$48/hour

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): $35–$38/hour
