About the Role

As a Senior - Lead DevOps Engineer, you’ll take charge of enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our development and deployment operations. You'll ensure system performance, stability, and continuous availability while collaborating closely with our Machine Learning, Software Engineering, QA, and Data teams. Your main focus will be on automating infrastructure, streamlining CI/CD workflows, improving monitoring and reliability practices, and supporting solution design and pre-sales initiatives.

In this role, you will get to:

• Automate infrastructure setup, configuration, and deployment processes to improve speed and consistency
• Monitor and maintain system uptime, performance, and scalability across services
• Define and maintain SLAs that align with customer expectations and business needs
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless, reliable software delivery
• Create and maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures for incident response and routine operations
• Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues, implement best practices, and improve operational efficiency
• Lead incident response efforts, perform post-incident analysis, and drive prevention of recurring issues
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, 1-on-1s, workshops, and team knowledge sharing
• Participate in the hiring process by assessing candidates and contributing to recruitment strategy
• Champion and implement DevOps culture and best practices throughout the organization

You'll be successful if you have:

• 5-8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering with a focus on large-scale systems
• Deep understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including compute, networking, storage, and security components
• Strong hands-on skills with infrastructure as code and automation tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, Helm, Flux/ArgoCD, and GitLab CI
• Ability to design scalable architectures, choose appropriate technologies, and define project scopes
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana, and with defining system SLAs
• Strong emphasis on security-first design and awareness of security best practices
• Proven troubleshooting ability in live production environments
• Collaborative mindset and effective communication with technical and non-technical teams
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a strong grasp of DevOps/SRE principles
• Proactive learner who keeps pace with evolving technologies

It's a plus if you have:

• Experience working with pre-sales teams to gather client requirements and define project scopes
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively
• Hands-on use of penetration testing tools like Nessus, Nikto, or nmap
• Certifications from cloud providers or CNCF (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure, CKA, CKAD)
• Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
• Experience implementing canary deployments or other progressive delivery strategies
