
HVAC Warranty Technician
Job Overview:
Service Champions is seeking an experienced HVAC Warranty Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert consulting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting services for HVAC systems in residential and settings. You will use advanced diagnostic tools to ensure optimal system performance. This is a full-time opportunity reporting to the HVAC Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair and report installation and service issues both “at-fault” and “no-fault”
- Coordinates with the Dispatch Department to ensure any warranty issues on recent service calls are completed beyond the client’s satisfaction.
- Diagnoses malfunctions of heating and air conditioning systems and/or components for the purpose of identifying repair/replacement needs necessary to maintain equipment and systems.
- Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and related equipment (e.g. unit heaters, pumps, safety controls, etc.) for the purpose of providing residents with comfort.
- Maintains tools, supplies and/or equipment (e.g. torches, cutters, drills, test equipment, sheet metal, filters, control components, gaskets, seals, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Orders repair parts and supplies to be completed same day or have them overnighted to be completed next day or at a client requested time (e.g. replacement parts, filters, compressor saver kits, associated hardware, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
- Prepares documentation (e.g. warranty parts, service records, requisitions, work performed, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
- Reviews warranty calls daily to improve the overall department quality and to prevent future warranty calls.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or Dispatch Department.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of a relevant HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and at heights; physical stamina and dexterity.
