Pay: $70,000-$75,000 per year plus annual bonus opportunity

Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant position has responsibility for applying the principles of accounting within the assigned area of responsibility. Compiles financial information, processes journal entries into various accounts, and reconciles data to reports. Monitors, maintains, and reconciles activity in all accounts. Creates and interprets financial statements and supporting reports. Assist in meeting Corporate and Center Accounting objectives and requirements. This position is under general supervision but works independently on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for multiple corporate ledgers with varying degrees of difficulty, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close of the financials.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to company management.
- Support the department in reviewing processes to implement changes resulting in efficiencies and cost savings.
- Analyzing data to reach supportable conclusions.
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions within Accounting Policies.
- Reconcile and analyze GL accounts and resolve outstanding items.
- Data extractions and ability to work with large amounts of data.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus.
- Three plus years of general accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel (tables, pivot tables, vlookup, multi-spreadsheet, formulas) and data analysis required.
- AS400 experience a plus.
Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Demonstrated use of innovation in process improvement.
- Good understanding of GAAP/ IFR
- Demonstrated in previous jobs ability to follow stated Accounting Policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines.
