The Project Technical Manager Role

SESAMm is seeking a Project Technical Manager to support cutting-edge AI platform integration projects dedicated to ESG analysis and enhanced data-driven decision-makin

As a Project Technical Manager, you will serve as the main point of contact between SESAMm's internal teams and our clients, managing both business-oriented and technical interactions. You will gather client requirements, clarify and structure their needs, and ensure their integration into internal development roadmaps in close collaboration with the Product Owner. Additionally, you will provide first-level technical support, assist clients with API usage, perform basic adjustments on technical resources and execute no-code implementations, including the design and optimization of AI prompts where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Client relationship & project management:

  • Lead client discussions to identify, clarify, and document their business and technical requirements.
  • Manage project timelines, proactively track risks, and maintain regular communication with clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to integrate client needs into the product roadmap effectively.
  • Coordinate internally with various teams (technical, product, ESG experts) to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Technical role:

  • Provide first-level technical support to clients, addressing basic technical queries independently
  • Demonstrate and guide clients on using existing technical resources (APIs, notebooks, documentation)
  • Drive and execute no-code implementations to adress specific client needs
  • Act as a filter for technical requests, escalating only complex issues to internal technical experts, thus ensuring efficient workload management and client responsiveness

Desired Background and Skills

Education

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or Business.

Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in technical project management, business analysis, client-facing roles, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with ESG topics, financial services or private equity is advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills

  • Strong ability to manage client relationships, clarify complex needs, and ensure smooth communication.
  • Intermediate technical proficiency to support clients on API use and perform basic no-code/low-code technical adjustments.
  • A solid understanding of the LLM ecosystem, and familiarity with prompt engineering. Interest in AI tools is also beneficial.
  • Comfortable interacting with technical teams and coordinating internal resources efficiently.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and risk management capabilities.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German would be a plus.
