About the role:

This role serves as the crucial link between our product and marketing strategies, ensuring success in go-to-market (GTM) efforts. As the product evangelist, you will lead and motivate the team to launch products and features effectively, meeting GTM goals. You will deeply understand our customers, including their decision-making processes, and use market evidence and insights to shape marketing strategies, product positioning, and messaging that resonate with our audience. This role offers a hands-on opportunity during a significant growth phase for Settle, where you’ll help deploy cross-channel campaigns and expand our customer base, with opportunities for scope expansion.

What you'll do:

  • Drive measurable impact to the business through marketing strategies that support our product roadmap which deliver customer acquisition, activation, retention, and cross-selling with Product, Customer Success, and Revenue/Sales enabling the sales team to activate new customers with key product solutions 
  • Develop product positioning, value props, messaging, and testing plans that resonate with our target customer personas, with input from Product Management
  • Customer intelligence—be the expert on our customers, who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria to create buyer journeys – then proactively synthesize share and update our personas accordingly 
  • Use customer voice to inform and provide a feedback loop to the product management team, alongside CS and Sales, to ensure prioritization within the roadmap build to aid conversion
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned create succinct training content to aid with sales or marketing channels and be the thought leader within GTM on staying ahead
  • Plan and lead marketing plan for all products and features releases, as appropriate, with the product management team, including ideation on channels, tier-appropriate activities to support the acquisition and conversion of new pipeline and backbook attachment rates. Manage the cross-functional execution of the GTM plan.
  • Create, script, and content supporting product-GTM goals in the form of video, blog, SEO, product and pricing web pages, and online demos (webinars a bonus), collaborate with the marketing team to produce and release.
  • Continuously report and assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support products, and create reporting and actions to optimize.
  • Understand and support sales teams; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop and shape external collateral and training to focus on key narrative and talking points

 What you’ll need:

  • 6+ years experience in a b2b SaaS marketing role, preferably in DTC/e-comm, supply chain, or inventory-related service, closely aligned with product management
  • Familiar with marketing, CRM, and sales tools such as Husbpot, Chorus, and Google Analytics, Spyfu or other domain analyzers 
  • Exceptional ROI-tracking and marketing performance analytics, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
  • Strong public speaker, executive presence, and presentation skills 
  • Strong writer and previous experience creating content, videos, webinar, training 
  • Excellent people and leadership skills to bring together cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Research, surveying, and scripting skills for customer insights 
  • Experience managing agencies or freelancers
  • Excellent at identifying gaps and asking questions to find a solution (rather than waiting for a solution to fall into your lap)
  • Startup mentality, demonstrated ability to be resourceful and thrive in dynamic, rapidly evolving environments

Nice to have:

  • Content writing and production (ie wouldn’t mind being in demo videos)  
  • Sales calls and roadmap selling

Compensation:

This role has an annual starting salary range of $122,000 - $153,000 + equity + benefits. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to your individual skills and experience.
