About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Director of Compliance who is best in class with a high IQ and high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

What You’ll Do

  • Be responsible for active stakeholder engagement by ensuring close collaboration with key functions across the Company and working closely with the Legal team and other subject matter experts on relevant compliance projects.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Compliance and provide strategic advice for compliance and governance requirements, obligations and framework regarding compliance operations and advisory services.
  • Act as an advisor and provide guidance to business and infrastructure functions, as well as coordinate the collection of data and information in connection with data driven projects.
  • Lead operations and advisory within the Compliance function and act as a mentor to the team members.
  • Support the design and implementation of continuous operations of compliant management, issues management and marketing reviews.
  • Work with the other leaders to foster a culture of compliance within the organization through various initiatives.
  • Partner with the VP of Compliance in enhancing the compliance culture through on-going communication, conducting staffing assessments, and refining the target operating model.
  • Provide support as needed for the Internal Testing, BSA/AML and Program Office functions.
  • Create and prepare management and board reporting for the compliance function you oversee.
  • Ensure that compliance programs clearly articulate risk reduction and demonstrate enhanced control environment with evidence of design and operational effectiveness.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of regulatory compliance experience, preferably in a bank or FinTech environment, with 2+ of people leader experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cross-functional working relationships.
  • Strong knowledge with federal laws regulations related to the following activities: FCRA, FDCPA, MLA/SCRA, TCPA, EFTA, Reg E, Reg B, SCRA/MLA and other federal and state laws and regulations related to lending.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of bank and/or payments financial ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technology skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities in a logical manner

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager certification.
  • Prior experience in a senior role focused on product compliance at a FinTech or tech-driven bank.
  • Buy Now Pay Later Experience

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is $4.000 - $6.800 USD gross monthly, including base and variable pay. Our ranges are intentionally broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
