About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Operations Analyst who is best in class with both high IQ and high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.
As part of ensuring a seamless product experience, the Operations team investigates system behaviors, bugs, escalations, and operational issues flagged internally or raised by customer-facing teams. Operations Analysts validate system behavior using SQL, logs, and debugging tools; identify root causes; communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams; and help evolve processes to drive efficiency and reliability. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, technically inclined, and highly organized.
What you'll do:
- Investigate, triage, and escalate bugs or system issues across product and engineering teams.
- Analyze data to identify patterns, root causes, and potential solutions.
- Work with SQL, logs, APIs, and internal tooling to validate hypotheses and confirm system behavior.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Break down ambiguous problems into structured steps and actionable insights.
- Manage multiple investigations simultaneously while maintaining clarity, accuracy, and documentation quality.
- Handle escalations from internal stakeholders in a professional, timely, and detail-oriented manner.
- Continuously develop domain expertise and improve tooling, workflows, and operational processes.
What We Look For:
-
Core Skills & Experience
- Strong investigative mindset: able to dissect ambiguous problems, gather evidence, and form hypotheses.
- High curiosity: naturally inclined to ask follow-up questions, explore edge cases, and understand how systems behave.
- Ability to break down complex issues into clear, structured problem statements.
- Solid critical-thinking skills—comfortable evaluating conflicting information or incomplete data.
Technical Skills
SQL- Ability to write basic queries (joins, filters, aggregations).
- Comfortable validating data, checking logs, and confirming system states with SQL.
- Exposure to at least one general-purpose programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, etc.).
- Able to read and understand code at a beginner level.
- Experience from a bootcamp, self-learning, or academic coursework is acceptable.
- Basic understanding of APIs, JSON, and HTTP request/response flows.
- Ability to use tools such as Postman, log viewers, or internal admin dashboards.
- Comfort navigating technical environments (database consoles, monitoring systems, etc.).
Communication & Soft Skills
- Excellent written communication: able to produce clear, concise bug reports and investigative summaries.
- Strong verbal communication for cross-team collaboration and explaining findings.
- Ability to adapt communication to the audience (engineering vs. support, etc.).
- Confidence asking clarifying questions to reduce ambiguity.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Driven to understand why things happen, not just what happened.
- Resilient and calm when dealing with urgent or high-pressure escalations.
- Organized and able to manage multiple investigations at once.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a SaaS, fintech, or data-driven environment.
- Familiarity with ticketing/workflow systems (Zendesk, Jira, etc.).
- Experience writing documentation or contributing to internal knowledge bases.
- Background in quantitative or technical fields is beneficial but not required.
- Experience with data analysis tools or scripting (e.g., Python, R, analytics tooling) is a plus.
