About the Role

Sezzle is seeking a Public Relations + Communications Associate who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

As Sezzle's Public Relations + Communications Associate, you'll help drive the communications and media strategy that shapes how the world sees Sezzle while hitting measured KPIs. In addition, you will support the day-to-day management of our social channels including: LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and TikTok. Reporting to the Head of Public Relations, you'll be the person turning ideas into content, tracking what's working, and making sure our voice shows up, on-brand, performing everywhere it matters.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who wants to help build out a growing brand's communications engine and social presence. You'll partner closely with the Head of PR on media relations, press coverage, competitive intelligence and our testing and learning surrounding various PR channels. You'll ideate and create content and manage channels. You’ll understand how to weave culture and trends so Sezzle shows up where the conversation is happening while achieving those KPIs. You'll split your time among communications/PR support (media monitoring, press recaps, competitor tracking, thought leadership, GEO management), social media (strategy, agency relationships, content creation, performance tracking), analytics and more.

It's both analytical and creative, you'll track coverage and data to sharpen our story, then use those same insights to make the next piece of content or campaign better. We're also continuing to test and evolve our approach to consumer social, so this role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity and shifting priorities. They understand the need to pivot toward the campaigns and channels proving performance. Responsibilities across PR and social may shift as our strategy evolves, and we need someone excited about that flexibility.

If you're proactive, love the fast pace of a growing fintech, and want ownership over work that touches millions of people, this is a seat where your work will be visible.

What You’ll Own

  • Support PR initiatives, including media monitoring, coverage tracking, and building press recaps; keep up to date with competitors on PR efforts through monthly reporting
  • Partner with third-party agencies (media monitoring, GEO, influencer marketing)
  • Track and report on social and PR performance metrics, helping identify insights and optimizations; stay up to date on company product updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content with broader campaigns and company initiatives and goals
  • Help lead in-person brand/PR events
  • Assist in developing and executing social media strategies across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and TikTok — with the understanding that our approach to consumer social is actively being tested, so priorities and channel focus may shift based on what's performing
  • Create and schedule engaging, on-brand content (copy, visuals, short-form video concepts)
  • Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities for Sezzle to participate in relevant conversations
  • Assist with PR & content planning, calendars, and day-to-day channel management
  • Must be skilled in utilizing AI in a variety of ways from helping inspire concepts, interpret data, create assets and more

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
