About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Infrastructure Engineer Intern who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in maintaining and improving our data warehousing systems (AWS DMS, Redshift).
- Support the team in monitoring data pipelines, identifying issues, and troubleshooting basic problems.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for analytics and data validation.
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to understand data needs and support use cases.
- Participate in testing, documentation, and improving reliability of data systems.
- Identify and automate repetitive daily manual processes, reducing operational overhead and improving team efficiency.
- Learn and explore new tools and technologies in the data ecosystem.
What We Look For:
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, relational concepts) and no sql databases.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Go, or similar).
- Interest in data infrastructure, distributed systems, or backend engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Leveraged AI tools such as Claude to accelerate development workflows, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and enhance productivity.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Basic understanding of data pipelines or ETL concepts.
- Awareness of data warehousing concepts.
- Interest in big data or streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis Streams, Flink etc.)

Compensation: The salary for the Data Infrastructure Engineer Intern is 700 USD monthly gross.
