Position Overview:

As a 3D Video Artist for the marketing team, you will execute 3D animation and motion graphics advertising content for game titles across Small Giant Games portfolio. The ideal candidate is comfortable creating a high volume of diverse creative content and can also contribute ideas & concepts inspired by value propositions or selling points that catch the audience’s attention.

What You'll Do:

  • Create high-quality 3D animations (character, environment, lighting, rendering) and 2D animations and motion graphics using Spine and After Effects
  • Edit and composite 3D/2D renders, gameplay footage, motion graphics, sound effects, and music into polished, high-converting video ads
  • Utilize generative AI tools throughout the production pipeline
  • Build marketing-specific levels in Unity, iterate gameplay scenarios per brief, and capture footage for use in ad creatives
  • Conduct ongoing competitor creative research and monitor mobile market trends across key social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) to inform ideation and briefing
  • Work with the Production Lead, Creative Producers, Performance Marketing Managers and stakeholders to develop video ads that resonate with audiences and meet key performance indicators
  • Work with the internal creative team and come up with both original ideas and variations on industry trends. Then independently transform those concepts into ad creatives

What You Bring:

  • Proven track record as a 3D Artist, Animator or similar role in the gaming industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D, or Maya) and 2D animation (After Effects or Spine)
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects (including scripting and advanced plug-ins like Red Giant and Trapcode) and Adobe Photoshop
  • Extensive experience utilizing generative AI tools for video production
  • Proficiency in Unity for building marketing levels, set up gameplay scenarios, navigate scenes, extract assets, and record footage
  • Solid understanding of animation principles with a keen eye for motion, composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Strong ability to translate market and competitor research into actionable creative briefs and concept ideation
  • Solid understanding of UA advertising and user motivations across different networks; familiarity with mobile gaming trends (RPG genres)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and quick turnarounds
  • Exceptional communication skills and a team-first attitude

Bonus Points:

  • Adobe Illustrator & Graphic Design skills are a big plus
  • Ability to supervise external designers and provide relevant feedback to improve quality against KPIs
