Staff Product Designer
As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll drive design direction across key areas of the Shakepay product, tackling our most complex and ambiguous challenges. You’ll operate as a force multiplier—raising the bar for craft, influencing product strategy, and helping teams ship better, faster.
You won’t just design experiences—you’ll shape what we build and how we build it. You’ll work across teams, partnering with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure we deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences at scale.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead high-impact, ambiguous initiatives: Take ownership of the most complex product challenges, turning unclear problem spaces into clear, actionable solutions from concept to execution.
- Drive product and design direction: Partner with Product and Engineering to shape roadmap decisions, influence strategy, and ensure we’re solving the right problems.
- Design for measurable impact: Deliver experiences that improve core metrics like activation, engagement, retention, and conversion, while maintaining a high bar for quality.
- Operate across teams and product areas: Work horizontally to ensure a cohesive product experience across surfaces, aligning teams and driving consistency at scale.
- Elevate design systems as a strategic lever: Drive the evolution of scalable design systems and patterns to improve quality, speed, and consistency across the organization.
- Raise the bar for design: Set standards for craft and execution. Provide high-impact feedback, guide critical work, and help define what great looks like at Shakepay.
- Mentor and multiply the team’s impact: Support and coach designers through hands-on feedback, collaboration, and example—making the entire team more effective.
