The Category Director of Strategic Sales & Analytics for Ninja will thrive at the forefront of our sales, analytics, and planning processes in a highly dynamic environment. This high-visibility role drives key business decisions to achieve our overall business objectives within the North American business.
Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Sales and Analytics for Ninja, the Category Director of Strategic Sales & Analytics will be responsible for implementing a strategic plan domestically for the Ninja brand’s various product categories. They will act as a strategic advisor and expert, responsible for the development and deployment of sales strategies that enable the delivery of our financial goals and KPIs. The Category Director of Strategic Sales and Analytics will serve as a leadership liaison between all internal cross-functional partners to ensure communication, alignment, and execution of the sales strategy while removing barriers to success and mitigating business plan risk. Key interfaces include the Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Finance teams.
The Category Director of Strategic Sales & Analytics will lead a team of 1-2 associates to analyze current business trends at the Category & Retail level, manage category P&L, as well as drive global discussions on category performance. This role requires excellent leadership and motivational skills with a strong focus on people development. The Category Director of Strategic Sales & Analytics must drive results through the management of both direct and indirect resources related to sales, marketing, e-commerce, finance, supply chain, operations, and external interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver double-digit net sales and net profit growth for North America in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development
- Lead Product Roadmap strategy at the Retail and Category Level with Sales & Product Development
- Lead Category and Account Analytics to ensure a clear path to win share in every category and every account
- Recommend Supply Strategies to Operations that align to maximize Revenue & Margin
- Own Category P&L and work closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, PD to ensure Category goals are delivered for Revenue & Margin
- Drive Account Planning & Management process in partnership with Sales
- Be part of and build a team of A-players to embody SN Success Drivers and Leadership Principles
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a relevant discipline; a Master’s or MBA is a plus
- Demonstrated history of successfully leading strategic sales, analytics, and category management for a major product portfolio
- Track record of leading and managing a high-performing team
- History of success working cross-functionally with key stakeholders including sales, marketing, finance, and product development
- Demonstrated understanding of the business environment, trends, and relevant key strategic and operational drivers
- Excellent analytical and technical skills to gather and analyze large sets of data and create reports
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build, develop, and maintain solid relationships
- Proven analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Proven ability to grow and develop teams quickly and bring in external talent
- Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to customer and sales meetings
This is a hybrid role based in our Boston area headquarters.
