The Media Director, France/Benelux will be responsible for planning, developing and executing our media strategy and identifying the right brand partnerships for France/Benelux regions across all brand and categories.
This role will lead cross-functional media teams to ensure we activate consistent and impactful full funnel media campaigns across all channels, including digital, social and traditional media. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the market, a passion for storytelling, and a proven track record of driving successful full media activities that resonate and align to business objectives and country nuances.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Media Strategy for the France/Benelux region that aligns with global, regional and country objectives to drive business growth.
- Define and drive the strategic deployment of SharkNinja’s media budget. Work with internal teams and media agencies to develop full funnel media plans (including retail media, Amazon and Performance) to drive business performance, integrating learnings from internal MMM and best practises.
- Develop audience segmentation by brand and by category in line with our wider consumer segmentation
- Take a strategic view across brands and categories to ensure we are meeting our broader goals (market share, brand metrics etc)
- Lead the understanding of competitive investment trends, media mix and creative learnings to ensure we are continually optimizing.
- Lead the creation and execution of multi-channel media campaigns, ensuring consistency of messaging across all touchpoints.
- Work closely with Global and Regional teams to localize global campaigns and ensure relevance to the France/Benelux market.
Partnerships
- Drive forward the right media partnerships for SharkNinja from TV sponsorships to other paid activations.
- Set a measurement framework and KPIs to drive the most effective ROI.
- Work closely with Global, Regional teams to maximise any investment.
Measurement and Performance
- Set a measurement framework to include KPIs and ROI targets for all media activity, ensuring this communicated with impact pre, during and post campaigns.
- You’ll own the MMM modelling working with external expertise to provide learnings and optimisation to ensure we are maximising our media investment.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage and lead a team of media experts and drive upskilling for the brands. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including; category marketing, IMC, Social, PR and country sales to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with business goals.
- Lead all relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to maximize the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
Market Insights & Analysis:
- Be the go to expert on media trends and audience segmentation
- Utilize Sharkninja consumer insights and data analytics to refine marketing strategies and optimize media performance.
- Monitor competitive activity and adjust media strategies accordingly.
Budget Management:
- Be responsible for the planning and deployment of the full funnel media budget for the France/Benelux region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI
- Track and report on the performance of media investment, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Brand & Content Management:
- Manage the localization of campaigns and content to cater to different languages and cultures within the region.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Media Agency background also preferred.
- 15+ years of marketing experience with a deep specialism in media strategy , planning and buying with a significant portion spent in the France/Benelux region.
- Proven experience in leading successful integrated media activity across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of the diverse cultural, economic, and regulatory landscapes.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable marketing strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages spoken in the France/Benelux region is a plus.
- Preferred: Experience in relevant sectors, familiarity with emerging marketing trends and technologies, willingness to travel.
