As we continue to grow, we are actively looking for a Category Marketing Senior Associate to our French team, covering the French Market and supporting the amazing growth of our French business. Our new Paris office just opened in the heart of the city in the 9th district.

OVERVIEW:

The role will play a key part of our French Marketing Organization, focusing on Category Marketing in Country & Channel. The Category Marketing function will be responsible for bringing our product to market, including channelization, product range planning /assortments, scenario planning, promotional calendar (in collaboration with Trade Marketing), in-market NPD launch plans, product positioning etc 

What You'll Do:

  • Be a local market expert: pro-actively communicate local nuances to plans, and provide updates on local competitors
  • Provide insights, context and narrative behind any suggested changes in countries
  • Range planning and local retailer strategy (channelization)
  • Co-owner of sales out marketing plan, Co-ad budget, executional trade marketing plan
  • Delivers country reports to Regional for consolidation
  • Owns in country execution and number

In more details :

  • GTM planning
    • Responsible for Channelisation and Scenario planning ie big bets/risks
    • Responsible for supporting local Sales & Trade Marketing teams with retailer sell in presentations and meetings including Product demonstrations
    • Country retailer activation plans communication (Trade Marketing will own this however Category Marketing should report back to Regional once collated)
  • GTM execution & monitoring
    • Responsible for new product launches within local market
    • Serve as a thought-leader in product launch alongside critical sales and brand marketing leaders – ensure that the “triad” of product, marketing, and sales execution comes together for every new launch.
    • Support with the build of local joint business plans with retailers
    • Forecasting marketshare based on sell in/sell out
  • Product ranging and pricing
    • Responsible for the Country Retailer assortments and SKUs assortment and channel strategy (by retailer) 
    • Co-Responsible with Trade Marketing for the Country Promotional Calendar and responsible for Pricing strategy – partnering closely with the Regional CP&A, Regional Marketing and Product Development
  • New product development
    • Provide feedback on NPD inputs (consolidate Country insights / feedback and share with Regional)
  • Product roadmap & assortment (including RRP)
    • Responsible for channel strategy to achieve sales forecast
    • Responsible for the Country Product Range & Roadmap locally from concept to shelf
    • Partner closely with Regional Marketing and Product Development to bring roadmap to life.
    • Oversee a rolling 6–24-month pipeline of new products within categories to launch within local market.
  • Product testing
    • Provides feedback on claims
    • Consult on product review and feeback (see consumer validation)
    • Supports in-market testing for concept and packaging

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Fluent French and English
  • 4+ years of experience in Marketing (brand or Trade)
  • Decisive and action oriented.
  • Proven ability to work with multiple agencies and suppliers
  • Proven leadership and influencing abilities.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Evidence of good attention to detail.
  • Budget spendings tracking and management
  • Earger to learn
  • At ease in dynamic and agile environment

Also a largely collaborative role, working with the full team such as the D2C team and Sales team in driving activity to support new product launches, key campaigns and overall increasing brand awareness & desirability, whilst educating the consumer on our vast range of products. The ideal candidate for this role is very much a ‘people person’, with strong communication skills and in developing & building relationships with those within the business and with external partners.
