We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and collaborative Senior Quality Engineer to join our New Product Quality team. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the voice of the consumer across the product development lifecycle — proactively driving quality improvements, risk mitigation, and performance optimization.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Industrial Design, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to shape products that not only meet specifications but consistently exceed customer expectations — pre- and post-launch.

This is an exceptional opportunity to influence design, quality, and customer satisfaction at scale, while gaining exposure to executive-level decisions and enterprise-wide innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer-Centric Quality Leadership

  • Analyze consumer complaints, field returns, and warranty data to identify root causes and drive both technical and customer-facing corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary voice of the customer in product quality forums, ensuring feedback translates into meaningful product and process improvements.
  • Lead structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D, DMAIC) and risk assessment efforts (e.g., FMEA) with cross-functional teams.

Product Development Support

  • Serve as the NPD Quality lead in design reviews, safety assessments, and documentation control throughout the development cycle.
  • Provide quality input on Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), ensuring robust verification/validation and no unintended downstream impact.
  • Partner with R&D and Product Development to define and validate critical-to-quality (CTQ) attributes for new and existing products.

Process & Supplier Quality Integration

  • Collaborate with suppliers on root cause investigations and ensure timely closure of corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Influence manufacturing and process control plans by identifying potential failure modes and recommending risk-mitigating controls.
  • Support production readiness and product transfer activities, ensuring alignment between design intent and manufacturing capability.

Post-Launch & Lifecycle Quality Management

  • Monitor macro-level product performance data and consumer sentiment to identify early warning signs, recurring issues, and quality trends.
  • Drive iterative product improvements post-launch, collaborating with Engineering and Design teams to achieve optimal user experience.
  • Own product health dashboards and reporting, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Cross-Functional Influence & Continuous Improvement

  • Facilitate cross-functional quality meetings, delegate and track issue resolution, and ensure accountability across teams.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies across quality workflows to improve responsiveness and impact.
  • Coach junior engineers or quality team members, helping elevate the overall team capability and rigor.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Product Development, Human Factors Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 4–7 years of experience in quality engineering, with a strong focus on new product development in consumer goods, electronics, or similar industries.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of product development lifecycle, risk management, verification/validation, and design control.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree), FMEA, and statistical methods.
  • Solid grasp of change management, CAPA systems, manufacturing quality, and control methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or industry equivalents) is a plus.

Tools & Systems:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with quality systems, SharePoint, or PLM platforms is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to influence stakeholders and present to leadership.
  • High degree of autonomy, initiative, and accountability in driving cross-functional projects.
