OVERVIEW:

Shark Ninja is looking to expedite the development of its medical product supply chain.  This role is responsible for commercial aspects of finished goods sourcing and component sourcing, procurement, including finding new vendors/technologies, supply chain development, maintenance of existing vendors and their development; sub-supplier procurement, consolidation management; with the aim to deliver the right quality product at the right time at the right cost.

LOCATION: Shenzhen / Suzhou

Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

  • Sourcing, Develop and manage relationships with existing OEM suppliers, including negotiating NDAs, supply agreements, pricing, cost management, performance management, volume rebates, and coordinating after-sales services
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain operations
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop new products/projects, identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Overall OEM’s Performance Management
  • Actively source key component suppliers locally and overseas including managing RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
  • Pricing and costing activities for ongoing supply
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Medical Product Industry Supply Chain Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the LED, Hydration and General Beauty / Medical product industry within APAC
  • Relationships with relevant OEM
  • Knowledge of import / export compliance regulations for different regions for medical products, including topicals
  • Knowledge of FDA, MDR and other regulatory requirements

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Participates in cross-functional meetings and clearly expresses procurement needs
  • Proactively resolves cross-functional conflicts and aligns priorities
  • Leads cross-functional reviews to enhance execution consistency

Team Leadership

  • Proactively learns and helps newcomers integrate; contributes to team knowledge base
  • Guides new hires or interns and leads small project groups

Project Delivery

  • Tracks delivery progress; supports material readiness for EVT/DVT/MP phases
  • Coordinates with PD/ENG/QA to meet delivery milestones and proactively identifies risks
  • Leads procurement delivery planning for key projects and ensures on-time supplier performance

Cost Management

  • Tracks CBOM and quotations; supports VAVE and cost comparison analysis
  • Performs initial should-cost analysis, identifies price anomalies and proposes improvements
  • Leads detailed material cost breakdowns and transparent cost communication with suppliers

Supplier Management

  • Maintains daily supplier relationships, tracks performance, and resolves routine issues
  • Leads onboarding and contracting of new suppliers; handles disputes and compliance risks
  • Selects/optimizes key suppliers and establishes performance appraisal and incentive mechanisms

Strategic Sourcing

  • Understands basic procurement processes and cost structures of raw materials or finished goods; able to conduct inquiries, comparisons, and preliminary analysis
  • Plans sourcing based on business needs; conducts cost analysis and leads initial negotiations
  • Develops & leads category sourcing strategies, leads key supplier negotiations, and achieves cost-saving targets

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

  • Proficient in verbal and written English; This role will be expected to communicate with both Chinese and Overseas suppliers independently – English skills are deemed important to enable this communication.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • A self-starter who shows initiative and able to work independently to move forward.
  • A team player, who can build cross functional alignment.
  • Skilled in Computer languages such as Microsoft Office, and Project
