About the Role:

The VP, Quality Operations is pivotal in overseeing the quality assurance, quality control, inspection, and supplier development activities within our organization.

Your job is to lead and integrate the organizations quality plan and to drive continual improvement across operations, ensuring that the design, development and the manufacture of our products meet industry leading standards, achieving 5-star product ratings

There will be a strong emphasis on developing and executing the quality vision, strategy and plan and aligning with overall business goals.

To determine and mitigate the risk from a design, manufacturing, inspection, regulatory and test perspective, ensuring collaboration throughout our internal departments as well as our 1st & 2nd tier suppliers.

Ensuring product specifications are fully vetted in advance of mass production, delivering complete customer satisfaction for every product built.

Significant focus on continually improvement activities will be required throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Leading the quality team and technical specialists, fostering a positive quality culture where everyone can add value.

The use of data to monitor performance, to assess trends and to make informed decisions to make ongoing improvements

Overseeing budgets and to drive further quality improvements such as eliminating inefficiencies and to drive cost effective initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day quality operations to ensure full compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Continually assess performance of the Quality team and help to maintain and to further develop vision, strategy and plan to ensure industry leading standards are achieved
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and related quality KPIs to drive measurable improvements in quality performance.
  • Provide strong leadership to the quality team, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and capability development.
  • Plan and conduct internal systems and process audits to ensure adherence to quality procedures, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with global cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Analyze quality data, metrics, and trends to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure products and services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and quality standards.
  • Manage and enhance supplier quality processes, including supplier audits, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare, review, and present quality performance reports and insights to senior leadership.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to employees and suppliers on quality standards, systems, and best practices.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and external auditors during inspections, audits, and assessments.
  • Lead and execute quality-related projects and strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.

 

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Quality Management.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within quality and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience applying ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, and other quality methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and identify trends.
  • Lead auditor qualification preferred.
  • Experience with supplier quality management processes and systems.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with continuous improvement programs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in Mandarin & English.
