Jr. Key Account Manager – Departmental Stores (Mexico)
Level: Lead | Individual Contributor
Reports to: Sales Director
Location: Mexico (Hybrid / Field-based by account)

The Jr. Key Account Manager is a Lead-level individual contributor responsible for the day-to-day operational execution of SharkNinja’s Departmental Stores business in Mexico, with direct ownership of Beauty Stores & Distributors. This role ensures that commercial plans are executed accurately through forecast control, inventory management, promotion execution, and disciplined follow-up.

This position sits within the Commercial / Sales organization and is critical to ensuring that assortments, promotions, and forecasts are translated into clean execution at store and omnichannel level. Success in this role comes from strong numerical rigor, operational ownership, and attention to detail, rather than high-level strategy alone.

 

Responsibilities

Account Execution & Daily Operations

  • Own the day-to-day operational execution for its clients
  • Act as the primary execution lead for account topics including orders, forecasts, inventory, promotions, and pricing
  • Track weekly performance vs. plan and identify execution gaps early
  • Ensure customer commitments are feasible, accurate, and aligned internally before confirmation

Forecasting, Sell-Out & Inventory Control

  • Own weekly and monthly forecasting by account and by SKU
  • Monitor sell-out, inventory levels, weeks of supply, and replenishment cadence
  • Proactively flag overstock, stock-out, or demand risks and propose corrective actions
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to align forecasts, shipments, and timing

Promotions, Assortments & Retail Execution

  • Support execution of Fashion & Beauty  promotional calendars, events, and campaigns across each retailer
  • Validate volumes, pricing, promotional depth, and timelines prior to execution
  • Track promotional performance and conduct post-promotion analysis
  • Ensure assortments are executed correctly in-store and online, escalating issues when gaps are identified

Financial & Numerical Ownership

  • Track sales, margins, promotional spend, and gross-to-net by account
  • Validate pricing and volumes before submission to ensure financial accuracy
  • Maintain clean, consistent reporting across Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain
  • Investigate variances and support corrective action planning

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate daily with Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Category Management, and Marketing
  • Ensure alignment on what is shipping, when it is shipping, and at what cost
  • Prepare concise, factual updates for internal and customer meetings
  • Follow up consistently to close open actions and execution issues

Skills Required

Must Have

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Key Account, Sales Operations, or Commercial Execution roles within:
    • Electronics
    • White goods
    • Major appliances
  • Proven hands-on experience managing Departmental Store accounts in Mexico, specifically:
  • Strong experience owning forecasts, inventory, promotions, and execution cadence
  • Strong analytical and numerical capability, including:
    • Advanced Excel skills (pivots, formulas, scenario analysis)
    • Comfort managing large datasets and operational reports
    • Solid understanding of margins, promotional ROI, and inventory productivity

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting omnichannel execution (store + online)
  • Familiarity with retailer portals and sell-out reporting tools
  • Knowing systems: Grupo Axxo & Sordo Madleno

Additional Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up discipline
  • Clear, concise communicator able to turn numbers into actions
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
