HRIS/Payroll System Analyst
Overview
The HRIS/Payroll System Analyst Supports HRIS, time management system, data analysis, payroll tax compliance, payroll year end audits/ processes, GL related entries/reconciliations and a variety of payroll re-engineering special projects. Performs all core payroll processing and audit functions.
Position requires project management experience with a focus on data analysis, system implementations and customizations as well as user acceptance testing and working with multiple systems that integrate with the ADP Enterprise V6 platform.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Prepare and review new hires, termination, leave of absences, Ultimate Reward processes and other payroll inputs each pay cycle.
- Supports and audits employee benefit data changes.
- Prepare and load external batches to ADP Enterprise for payroll processing including ADP Workforce Manager as well as bonus and commission payments and mass salary increases.
- Perform and assume responsibilities for all payroll audits/batch reconciliations each pay cycle before final submission.
- Prepare net to gross payroll updates for relocation payments, rotational employee payments and incentive trips and gift cards.
- Configure and maintain ADP (Enterprise, Workforce Manager systems) to meet business requirements.
- Coordinates with ADP to set up new earnings, deductions, state and local code jurisdictions on the mainframe.
- Maintain and execute ADP GL Web processes.
- Oversee ADP outsourced payroll tax processes; ensure tax payments/returns are filed timely. Follow up on all tax tracers and interface with the Tax Department to ensure compliance.
- Manage all payroll year end processes/audits as necessary, working closely with the Benefits team to coordinate year end employee tax documents
- Project Implementation/System Upgrades/Testing: Manages new system implementations, system upgrades, payroll interfaces or system conversions as they occur, taking a lead role.
- Facilitates, documents and works in tandem with Sharp and ADP resources to define, plan and satisfy Project tasks/milestones. Provide data analysis, system design and implement and satisfy user acceptance testing on new projects, custom modifications, system conversions/acquisitions/upgrades.
- Coordination with all stakeholders involved in the project.
- Ensures seamless data integration points between ADP and third-party systems.
- Acts as point person for troubleshooting to open ADP service requests and escalate resolution of system functionality issues.
- Review project activities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and JSOX requirements.
- Reporting: Download, prepare and review various payroll reports after completion of payroll.
- Create and maintain custom reports and complex data exports for HR and Finance teams
- Create standard and ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries; provide information and resolve payroll problems; escalate complex or sensitive problems to Manager for resolution.
- Participate in payroll audits and supply supporting data and reports as required.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of multi-state payroll experience, report writing and data analysis with ADP applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP Enterprise, Workforce Manager, ADPR Reporting Tool).
- Ability to meet deadlines with no wiggle room.
- Knowledge of multi-state withholding compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of Payroll GL related processes.
- Advanced knowledge of office software, preferably MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access) is essential.
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-orientation, strong analytical skills and self-motivation are essential.
- Ability to prioritize and complete work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
Compensation Statement
$98,500 - $125,000 USD
