Senior Solutions Sales Engineer

Overview
The Senior Solutions Sales Engineer is a senior technical expert who partners with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams in the design and delivery of advanced display system solutions. This role leads complex customer engagements, services as a technical escalation point, and contributes to display product strategy through market trends and field insights.
This position is ideal for a highly experienced display professional who combines strong technical expertise with a consultative, business-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical authority supporting high-value, complex, and first-of-kind display projects.
- Perform as Consultant, Architect, Design support, and collaborator.
- Partner with Sales teams to develop complete display solution designs, system configurations, and technical proposals.
- Function as the primary technical escalation point for internal sales and product specialists.
- Differentiate customer needs versus wants and develop creative, negotiable solutions that address essential requirements.
- Identify and understand all parties involved in negotiations, including roles, decision authority, personal styles, prior negotiation history, and factors influencing outcomes.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive technologies to support product improvement and roadmap development.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Manufacturing partners to define specifications for next-generation display solutions.
- Promote launch in new vertical specific products and solutions.
- Develop solution scope of work and designs for complex video display system solutions.
- Coordinate all custom project configurations with product engineering and manufacturing partners to price, quote, and develop project schedule timelines for complex display video display solutions.
- Lead post-installation technical reviews and recommend corrective actions or product enhancements.
- Develop standardized tools, documentation, and processes to improve efficiency and consistency in display solution quoting and design.
- Deliver technical training and enablement programs for internal teams and strategic channel partners.
- Support annual business planning efforts through technical insight, solution strategy, and inventory forecasting.
- Provide Global Account support and engagement.
- Represent the company as a technical subject matter expert at industry events and trade shows
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Business or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in display solution design, applications engineering, or related technical roles.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale, high complexity display projects.
- Strong understanding of direct view LED (DVLED) technologies, processing, control systems, and mounting solutions.
- Experience developing display solution designs, system configurations, and technical proposals
- Ability to influence technical decisions across sales, product, and engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers, partners, and executive leadership.
- Strong business and financial acumen related to solution design and margin considerations.
- Experience working with multinational customers and cultures.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel.
