Regional Packaging SME/Trainer

Remote - Extensive Travel Required

Job Summary:  

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Regional Packaging SME/Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will travel to manufacturing plants to train operators on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized equipment. You will be a critical resource in ensuring operators are proficient and confident in using the equipment to maximize productivity, safety, and efficiency.  

 

Your Seat at the Table:

  • Training Delivery: Conduct hands-on and classroom-style training sessions for plant operators and maintenance staff on the proper use, maintenance, and safety protocols of specific equipment.  
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on the equipment, providing detailed explanations of functionality, components, and processes.  
  • Customized Support: Tailor training programs to the specific needs of each plant, considering their unique equipment configurations and operational requirements.  
  • Documentation: Develop, update, and distribute training materials, including manuals, guides, and online resources, to support ongoing learning.  
  • Troubleshooting Assistance: Provide on-the-spot troubleshooting and technical support during training sessions and assist in resolving equipment issues.  
  • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from operators and plant managers to continuously improve training programs and identify potential product enhancements.  
  • Travel: Travel frequently to manufacturing plants, sometimes requiring overnight stays, to deliver training and support.  

 

What you Bring to the Table: 

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.  
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working with industrial/manufacturing equipment
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.  
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible way.  
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 5 days/week and work all shifts
  • Certifications: Relevant technical certifications are a plus (e.g., OSHA, Six Sigma, or equipment-specific certifications).
