PMO C3PO Critical Care Team Member

Overview, Essential Duties, and Responsibilities:

 

 Overview

The mission of the C3PO Critical Care Team is to develop the teams’ capability to identify and correct equipment defects and to set and maintain base equipment conditions. These skills enable equipment to always operate at base conditions and extend equipment life through the elimination of forced deterioration. The C3PO Critical Care Team will enable teams to achieve world class targets with 100% engagement and a zero-loss mentality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Packaging Machine Operation

 

  • Performs cleaning of packaging equipment to ensure base condition of operation and to allow for identification of defects
  • Performs scheduled mechanical repairs of packaging equipment during planned downtime including, but not limited to code dater, scales, bagger pull belt assemblies and bagger vacuum systems.
  • Performs operations including, but not limited to mechanical, troubleshooting, and repair of packaging machines.
  • Provides and calibrates to process parameters such as setting gaps, tolerances, machine timing, zero and taring of scales, and centerlines.
  • Position requires troubleshooting skills that must have ability to work through problems to find root causes and address issues for mechanical and automation equipment.
  • Position requires basic office computer skills and to perform quality checks, downtime loss reports, perform verifications on computer will be done routinely throughout the day.
  • Position requires ownership of equipment breakdowns or minor stops, in addition to sanitation of packaging machines and workspace.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detects faulty operations and defective material; reports those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.

 

Operational:

 

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a packaging equipment; Scales, Baggers, Seasoners, Case Packers, Case Erectors.
  • Can perform set-up procedures on packaging production plant equipment.
  • Works in team with Sanitation and Maintenance to perform critical care processes and provide coaching for operations.
  • Performs regular sanitation and preventive maintenance on machine and equipment within plants critical care program.
  • Handles defects by restoring back to base condition.
  • Establish Cleaning-Inspection-Lubrication standards, partnered with a health check frequency and report.
  • Centerline the equipment to ensure the best quality and efficiency on the line.
  • May require assistance with device replacement setup.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

The Critical Care Packaging Machine Operator position is in a manufacturing environment, which includes:

 

  • Exposure to high temperatures
  • Moving mechanical parts and vibration
  • Loud noise level
