An MCE Project Manager (project professional) manages the relationship with the client during the entire Implementation process. Tracks and coordinates all moving pieces of the Implementation from start to end. Provides 1st level of escalation for onsite installation team. Manages implementation deliverables throughout installation project including milestones and project schedule. Develops and maintains consistent standards for project delivery. Reviews sales contracts and turnovers, coordinates with implementation team and sales team to ensure all deliverables are implemented as sold. Creates internal and external training documentation. Creates and communicates status reporting for both internal and external purposes. Manages project closure and handoff to Account Manager and Help Desk.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, organizes, and coordinates all Micros POS related projects for the Shift4 Micros Center of Excellence (MCE) Installation Department.
  • Works closely with Installation Management team to ensure successful project completion.
  • Review and audit sales contracts and sale turnovers.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for the sales department regarding order updates or other questions/concerns about the installation process.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for the customer regarding scheduling, understanding of deliverables, special requests, and information gathering.
  • Maintains and/or manages installation calendar to ensure accuracy and productivity in order to assign and schedule new projects.
  • Cultivates project management software to allow for a focused and efficient installation process.
  • Utilizes and monitors project management software effectively to provide key performance indicators to the necessary parties by ensuring the accuracy of starting/completion dates and labor entries.
  • Distributes projects accordingly to the installation team to ensure efficient and reasonable workflow.
  • Assist with installation projects when necessary, secondary resource.
  • Assist Clients with pre-requisites and ensure client fully understands the Implementation process.
  • Prepare project outline for Install Team and provides detailed information on projects and all deliverables.
  • Ensure that equipment and software has been ordered and received, escalate issues to their Implementation Manager/Supervisor.
  • Monitor site level installation process and ensures tasks remain on schedule.
  • Make recommendations to Implementation Manager/Supervisor on resource utilization.
  • Review of daily communication from site level installers about project.
  • Coordinate travel requirements for installation team.
  • Review and respond quickly to customer feedback and inquiries escalate issues when necessary.
  • Develops and maintains consistent standards and best practices to maximize project efficiencies.
  • Contribution to company knowledgebase and continuing professional education and certifications as required.
  • Participate in as many new installs as possible to evaluate the process and installer performance.
  • Provides project reporting, including spend, ad-hoc analysis, and presents issues requiring attention by senior management. Escalates issues as required.
  • Lead Kickoff Call meeting with customer and install teams.
  • Create Work Scopes (SOW) and Project Plans.
  • Monitor project performance and identifies area where new/improved plans can improve the quality of existing services as well as recommend means for improvement, including procedural steps, increased training and enhanced Documentation.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Hospitality and/or Food & Beverage industries 
  • Prior Project Management experience
  • Ability to create Project Plans and SOW
  • Excellent customer relations skills and overall positive communication to all levels.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to target messages to the right level of detail within the organization. 
  • Experience with Project Management Software/Solutions
  • Ability to operate major Microsoft and Google applications.
  • Bachelor Degree, or 2+ year technical degree, or extensive equivalent experience in project management 
  • Adaptability and strong work ethic
