Accounting Executive

The Accounting Executive will be responsible for executing daily accounting activities, including the preparation of accounting entries, reconciliation of bank and other financial accounts, and assisting in the preparation of various financial reports of Shift4 and other group companies.

The role involves collaborating with the finance team and other departments to support financial control and reporting.

A successful Accounting Executive should be a hands-on individual who is goal-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities will include:
•    Preparation of accounting entries and supporting documentation.
•    Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
•    Assist in the preparation of financial reports to support monthly management accounts.
•    Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency between financial records and bank accounts.
•    Verify the accuracy of the balance sheet figures by corroborating with supporting documentation and follow-up on any issues identified.
•    Reconcile intercompany accounts between the group entities and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
•    Assist the financial controlling team with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements by gathering financial information for SOX audits.
•    Perform ad-hoc tasks as may be required.

We would love to meet with someone with:
•    a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
•    proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel.
•    excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
•    able to work diligently and on own initiative with minimal supervision.
•    ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment.
