Come join the Shift4 Knowledge Management team as a Technical Writer I. As part of the Shift4 Transformation division, our Knowledge Management team creates content to enable learning and world-class performance for our employees, sales partners and product end users. We are looking for a writer that is passionate about contributing to a learning culture through awesome user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the review, design, writing, and editing of technical and process documentation following Shift4’s guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to address content gaps and incorporate user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Work with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Support cross-functional teams by creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation tailored to the intended audience.
- Follow documentation best practices and contribute to maintaining consistency in content and formatting.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve documentation processes.
- Manage assigned tasks and projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in technical writing, content development, or related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to organize information clearly and communicate complex topics in a user-friendly manner.
- Strong research and information-gathering skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with documentation tools and content management systems is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud or Zendesk preferred but not required.
- Understanding of the Point of Sale and Payments industry is a plus.
- Candidates will be required to submit writing samples as part of the interview process.
