Software Engineer, Senior (Setup Platform)

Overview

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a highly skilled and motivated development team. You'll be building Shift4's next-generation payment solutions.

The Setup team ensures smooth customer onboarding by developing and maintaining Java-based solutions that connect client systems with our ecosystem for seamless payment setup. You will be part of a team of experienced developers who collaborate to design APIs, configure workflows, and deliver robust, scalable integration solutions.

Scope of Responsibility:

• Design, develop and maintain high performance, distributed, business critical applications in the online transactions & payments field.
• Research and develop new technologies and approaches in the acquiring services field.
• Solve challenging problems
• Work in a highly dynamic & and technologically driven environment.

Requirementsֻ:

• At least 3 years of Java design and development (server side).
• At least 3 years developing high performance, business critical & always-up server-side applications.
• BSc in Computer Science or similar.
• Technical expert with deep understanding of development lifecycle, methodologies & best practices.
• Ability to execute end to end from design to implementation.
• Experience with SQL, RDBMS.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Very good English skills.
