The Settlements Sr Associate is responsible for the end-to-end execution and authorization of settlement processes, ensuring high system integrity and operational efficiency. This role combines hands-on technical management of SWIFT/SEPA transactions with cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex queries and implement system enhancements. The ideal candidate is a meticulous, remote-ready professional with banking experience who can document internal procedures and drive the team toward achieving critical KPIs.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage and execute all settlement related processes (creation, maintenance, authorizations & investigation) using CRM and Settlement Systems.
- Collaborate with internal Teams (Tech, Underwriting, Finance, CRM, Legal) and customer-facing Teams (Sales, Client Relations) as needed.
- Handle internal and external queries related to the settlements processes and systems; monitor system health, raise tickets, and liaise with Technical Teams to resolve issues. Escalate to the Settlements Supervisor.
- Execute required daily system actions including processes, report generation, and other tasks assigned by Settlements Supervisor.
- Participate in testing, new project implementations, and related initiatives; document tasks accordingly.
- Assist with implementing new features and products; propose enhancements or corrective actions for processes or systems.
- Design, maintain, and document internal Settlements Team procedures; provide guidance or training to new team members and cross-department colleagues.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base with manuals and procedures related to the Team’s operations.
- Maintain consistent communication with internal teams regarding critical tasks and processes.
- Monitor department KPIs and strive to achieve targets.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A-Level qualification or higher.
- A Diploma in Banking will be considered as an asset.
- Experience in payments, money remittance, or similar financial environments.
- Banking industry experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with payment types such as SWIFT, SEPA, and TARGET.
- Highly organized, meticulous, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail, flexible, and collaborative in a remote environment.
Compensation:
Shift4 applies a structured, market-informed approach to compensation.
Salary ranges are developed based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, such as internal job levels, scope of responsibilities, and external market data. The range listed for this position reflects the expected hiring range for qualified candidates and corresponds to the level and requirements of the role.
Actual compensation may vary depending on various factors, such as experience, skills, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Shift4’s compensation structures are subject to periodic review and ongoing alignment across regions. Additional components such as variable remuneration or other benefits may also apply based on eligibility and role type.
Salary Range: € 26,000 - € 32,000
