Shift4 is looking for an experienced (3+) UI/UX Designer to join our teams. The Designer will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to align with business needs, guide decision-making, apply best practices, and ensure the creation of intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for users across our sites and applications.

Partner Portal self service (sales and customer service external self-service)  Global Merchant Onboarding Application (Legal entities global self-service)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research to understand needs, behaviors, and goals. Analyze data and user feedback to guide design decisions and improve the overall user experience.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for visually appealing, consistent user interfaces aligned with brand and product guidelines.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (product managers, experience managers, developers, and stakeholders) to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to implement UI designs by providing guidance and support in translating designs into functional, responsive interfaces.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, as well as Shift4 libraries.
  • Apply new design techniques and tools to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of UI design processes.
  • Work with the Shift4 technology team to improve standardization of libraries and interfaces across internal and external Shift4 ecosystems. Prepare analysis and proposals to support decision making on new process or features following best practices in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing JavaScript projects (e.g., React, Ember, Angular, Vue, etc.). At least 3+ years expected.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and incorporating user feedback into design iterations. Familiarity with user analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design ideas and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, innate curiosity, and a creative mindset to design innovative and user-friendly solutions to complex design challenges.

Salary  range 3500 - 4500 EUR gross depending on experience.
