The Accountant will be responsible for performing and coordinating general accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and supporting regulatory compliance primarily for Shift4 Limited.
A successful candidate will combine excellent analytical skills with a solid knowledge of accounting principles be a hands-on, goal-oriented professional who is highly organized, proactive, able to work independently, and capable of performing under pressure.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting workings
- Perform internal control processes to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results
- Assist in monthly cost assurance and variance analysis
- Assist in the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Assist with financial regulatory reporting, and compliance with local and international reporting requirements
- Support the preparation of audit deliverables, financial projections, and Board packs
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with improvements and automation of internal processes and workflows
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial treatment of transactions
- Support the finance function with ad hoc analysis and reporting
The ideal candidate will bring:
- ACCA qualification (or equivalent) or a Master’s degree in Accountancy
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, ideally gained in an Accounting Firm (audit experience preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS standards and experience in financial reporting
- Experience with tax, VAT, or regulatory reporting requirements is considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver within deadlines
- Ambition to enhance knowledge and adapt to a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
- Proven problem-solving ability and attention to detail, with a balance of technical accounting expertise

Salary range starts from 3000 EUR gross/month, depending on your experience.
