Shift5 is seeking a versatile full-time IT & Infrastructure Lead to join our growing team in Rosslyn, VA office. This role demands a breadth of knowledge and the flexibility to handle various IT tasks—from providing daily user support to administering our compact datacenter. The ideal candidate must be adept at navigating the complexities of IT systems, ensuring not only their efficiency and reliability but also their security. As an integral part of a nimble organization, this individual will be expected to wear multiple hats, seamlessly shifting from end-user troubleshooting to overseeing datacenter operations with competence and confidence
This leadership role is responsible for shaping, managing and maintaining our entire technology landscape, supporting both internal operations and production systems. At the same time, this is a hands on, individual contributor role. We are seeking "doers" to thrive in this position.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Design, implement and maintain infrastructure solutions that enhance system reliability, security, and user productivity across corporate and customer environments.
- Access Management: Develop and maintain secure identity and access control practices to ensure data protection and system integrity.
- Network Infrastructure: Manage and maintain internal network infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable connectivity for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Technology Integration: Oversee the adoption and integration of tools and platforms to improve workflows and collaboration across teams.
- Solution Implementation: Implement and design infrastructure solutions based on strict requirements provided by compliance, security, and other business teams.
- User Support & Enablement: Lead efforts to empower users through role management, education, and streamlined access to technology resources.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and adapt to changing needs.
- U.S. citizenship (eligibility for a U.S. Government Secret clearance a plus)
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, including security, access management, networking and proficient in troubleshooting existing infrastructure.
- Experience with identity and access control systems and user lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise software, productivity, and collaboration tools.
- Experience in developing solutions to automate workflows, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure management in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of automation and scripting to support infrastructure operations and enhancements.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $120,000 - $180,000
