As a Fullstack Engineer, you will join our core Engineering team to build complete designs for applications and features that deliver direct value to our customers. You will solve complex technical challenges by working within your squad and collaborating across the organization with Data Scientists, QA, and Product Managers. Your focus will be on delivering high-performance, scalable, and quality solutions that modernize our platform. This role is essential for driving the technical migrations and architectural improvements that power Shift’s mission.

- Take full ownership of technical tasks and resolve delivery blockers promptly without waiting for direction.
- Design and implement intuitive user interfaces to collect and review information.
- Build and maintain robust APIs that automate decision-making processes.
- Simplify the Complex: Design, write and test (from unit to end-to-end) clear, clean, well-structured C# and React code that is easy for others to maintain.
- Test, Learn, Scale:
- Contribute to technical migrations, modernization efforts, and architectural improvements as our platforms evolve.
- Experiment with new frameworks and use retrospectives to identify opportunities to improve delivery speed and quality.
- Communicate with Impact: Share progress and technical trade-offs clearly during stand-ups, adapting the detail for both peers and stakeholders.
- Solve Without Drama: Address production incidents and bugs calmly and methodically, focusing on root causes and long-term solutions.
- Finish what you start: Demonstrate reliability by validating that all code meets user needs and is fully documented before moving to new work.
We work with modern technologies and always encourage our team to explore what’s new in the market. Our main tools are:
- Frontend: React/Redux/TS/Vanilla Extract/LESS/Dev Container with Vite
- Backend: ASP.NET, C#, MSSQL, Elasticsearch
- IDE: your choice - Rider, VS Code, or Visual Studio + Resharper
- Cloud: Microsoft Azure
- Foundational toolchain: GitHub Enterprise, GHAS, GH Copilot + coding agent
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions / TeamCity, Cypress, GH Packages (npm, NuGet), Octopus
- Collaboration: Slack, Jira, Confluence
What You'll Need to Succeed
We are looking for a Shifter who is:
- C# Expert: You have 2 to 4 years of experience in software development with a deep, production-level mastery of C# and .NET.
- Fullstack-Capable: You are comfortable across the stack and have hands-on experience with React or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Architecturally Minded: You don’t just write code; you design scalable, maintainable systems and write clean, testable logic.
- Growth-Oriented: You have a test-and-learn mindset, actively exploring new tools and frameworks to improve performance and quality.
- Impact-Driven: You focus on outcomes over output, taking full ownership of your tasks from initial design to production monitoring.
- Collaborative & Clear: You are a fluent English speaker who can explain technical trade-offs simply and partner effectively with cross-functional squads.
- 30-minute video interview with our Talent Acquisition Specialist
- 2x 1-hour technical interviews, one with a Backend dev and one with a Frontend dev
- 1-hour final interview with the Hiring Manager
