About the Role
We are looking for Watch Assemblers to join our Manufacturing team in pursuit of hand-assembling our products with a relentless focus on quality. Watch Assemblers work as a team in our Downtown Detroit factory and are the lifeline of our commitment to hand assembled goods in Detroit.
Currently, our Watch Assembler shift starts at 7AM and ends at 3:40PM, Monday through Friday. Rarely, there may be opportunities for overtime and/or weekend shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete the assembly of watches by closely and accurately following each step of the standard operating procedure
- Quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions to perform various tasks
- Move hands and arms together to grasp, manipulate, or assemble extremely small objects with precision
- Arrange items or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific sequence or set of rules
- Concentrate on a task over long periods of time without being distracted
- Make quick and accurate troubleshooting decisions
- Adhere to all safety protocols and always wear proper safety gear while on the manufacturing, warehouse, or factory room floor
- Always display a strong attention to detail, and act with a positive attitude and helpful mindset to fit in a collaborative environment
- Must be able to follow written or oral instructions in English
- Consistent adherence to the company Attendance and Dependability Policy
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Sitting for long periods of time (almost the entire shift), performing repetitive tasks, standing, walking, and lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
- Must have the ability to move hands and arms together to grasp, manipulate, or assemble small objects, and the ability to handle small instruments with precision
- 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision. Must have the ability to see small details at close range
- This position requires the employee to interact with many people in a light industrial manufacturing area. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high
- The production space shall remain dust-free at all times, thus proper attire will be provided by the company, including wearing a smock, a cap and antistatic shoes throughout the entirety of their shift
- The watch manufacturing space is a clean room with limitations on what can be worn and brought in
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Successful National Criminal Background Check
