ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Account Manager (West Coast) with experience in the independent jewelry, luxury watch, or premium accessories market.

This role is responsible for managing and growing an established West Coast territory, which represents a meaningful portion of Wholesale Specialty (WS) channel revenue. You will focus on strengthening existing retail partnerships while supporting new account growth aligned with Shinola’s brand positioning.

The ideal candidate is a strong executor who thrives in a field-based role, enjoys being in stores, and partners closely with independent retailers to drive sell-through, merchandising excellence, and long-term account health.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage & Grow Existing Territory Accounts

  • Execute territory sales plans to drive sell-in and sell-through performance
  • Conduct regular in-store visits (approximately 60% travel) to support:
    • Open-to-buy planning and replenishment
    • Inventory management and turnover
    • Visual merchandising standards
    • Sales associate training and product knowledge
  • Partner with buyers and store owners to align assortments with store-level demand
  • Support initiatives that improve margins, reduce returns, and strengthen account relationships

Support New Business Development

  • Assist in identifying and onboarding new independent retail partners within the territory
  • Partner with the Director of Wholesale to support territory growth initiatives
  • Build trust with retailers by understanding their business needs and recommending appropriate assortments

Report & Performance Analysis

  • Track and report on key performance metrics including sell-through, weeks of supply, and returns
  • Provide regular territory updates and insights to Wholesale leadership
  • Support assortment and merchandising recommendations that improve productivity and brand presentation

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–5 years of wholesale sales experience in independent jewelry, watches, or premium accessories
  • Existing relationships with West Coast independent retailers preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage accounts and support territory growth
  • Solid retail math and analytical skills
  • Experience training and supporting retail sales associates
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with NuOrder, NetSuite, and The Big Network preferred
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed (up to 60%)

 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a full-time, salaried position.

  • Base Salary: $90,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience and location
  • Incentive Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus tied to territory and company goals
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holidays, and employee product discounts
