Location: Onsite - West Midlands
Role Description:
We are looking to add our second role to our freight booking team. In this position, you will be responsible for helping book LTL and FTL shipments on behalf of our clients to both bring inventory into our facilities and send inventory to other businesses. You will also play a critical role in helping us launch and scale our cross dock program to help clients more easily distribute their inventory across the ShipBob network. This role will report to the Carrier Manager.
What you’ll do:
- Build, maintain new and existing relationships with carrier partners.
- Work independently to identify and investigate carrier issues from missed pick ups, delayed transit times, and invoice discrepancies.
- Improve carrier KPI’s with on-time pick and on-time deliveries.
- Responsible for negotiating rates and obtaining RFP’s.
- Assist our merchants with inbound and outbound freight.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously throughout a vast distribution network.
- Expand our existing network by onboarding new approved service providers as needed
- Work cross functionally in a fast paced environment between various departments, both internally and externally.
- Identify and understand quarterly marketing trends within the transportation industry.
- Own the amazon distribution network and having a thorough understand of their approved carriers based on regions.
- Other duties/responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 2+ years of of experience in Supply chain industry.
- Extroverted with a solid ability to work with different stakeholders to move projects forward.
- Excellent attention to detail with an ability to plan for quarterly marketing trends.
- A hands-on, creative problem solver who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done and focus on results.
