Role Description:

Powered By ShipBob is a new high-growth business unit poised to spur significant revenue as a new vertical for ShipBob. This business unit primarily sells to partners in the US, who then white-label ShipBob’s software, logistics capabilities, and/or our outsourced fulfillment services to supercharge their business. While Powered By partners can include 3PLs, marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, and sales channels (e.g. social networks), in 2025, the Powered By team will primarily focus GTM efforts on 3PLs.

The Account Executive, Powered By for 3PLs is primarily responsible for driving the growth of the Powered by ShipBob business. In 2025, the Powered By ShipBob team will have a new customer revenue goal of $20M and this person, with a commissionable target, will play a critical role in achieving this goal. This individual will design tailored sales strategies that move prospects smoothly through the funnel, delivering a personalized, consultative experience. We have just scratched the surface of our total addressable market, so the right high-performing seller will have the chance to build, manage, and deliver a significant book of business. You will exercise your discretion to negotiate contract terms as well as work cross functionally to provide full stack operations, pricing, and product solutions. This role reports to the Director, Platform Partnerships.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify and engage potential 'Powered By' prospects, both self-sourced and pre-qualified by Business Development and Partnerships teams, through targeted outreach and strategic relationship-building.
  • Manage the creation of dynamic pricing and carrier options strategies by collaborating with analytics teams, ensuring proposals are data-driven, aligned with business goals, and competitive in the market.
  • Design and deliver compelling, executive-level pitches that demonstrate deep expertise in ShipBob’s WMS (Warehouse Management System) and transportation solutions, effectively positioning the value proposition for C-suite decision makers.
  • Work with Sales Engineer to construct a full stack solution for potential customers.
  • Follow the Powered By 3PL Sales Process, keeping up with any iterations made by the business.
  • Move customers efficiently through the sales process, ensuring all expectations are properly set and understood.
  • Negotiate contract terms and general partnership agreements.
  • Maintain an updated, clean and thorough pipeline to ensure proper forecasting and up to date CRM notes so account status is clear.
  • Provide feedback to management to continue to improve the sales process and Merchant experience.
  • Facilitate proper handoff to the Implementation teams.
  • Engage with onboarded merchants periodically throughout the customer lifecycle, focusing on upsell opportunities or cross-sell opportunities (e.g. migrating to our WMS).

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within a Go-to-Market organization in the eCommerce fulfillment or OMS/WMS/TMS technology sectors, with a demonstrated ability to deliver market success.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and clients through a 6–12-month sales cycle.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong initiative, capable of identifying opportunities and driving creative problem-solving solutions in ambiguous situations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a demonstrated ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Established track record of success in a sales position, with the ability to understand client needs, run negotiations, close deals and hitting quota.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and confidence to understand client needs and successfully navigate the negotiation process.
  • Ability to report, and utilize, insights using a CRM and other tools to ensure efficient Sales Operations.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. We are targeting a salary range of $104,000 for this role.  The full base pay range for this position in our architecture is $77,835 - $129,725. In addition to base salary, the role includes the opportunity to receive and/or earn sales incentives based on Company’s plans and in accordance with Company’s policies.
