Location: Remote in India
Shift Timings: US Hours 6:30 pm- 3:30 am IST
Role Description:
The Transportation Systems Analyst at ShipBob will be responsible for supporting and executing a network configuration that will influence the outcomes of millions of shipments and the largest cost center in our P&L. This role will work closely with Transportation Procurement, Finance, Forecasting, Operations, Network Strategy, and Product/Tech teams to ensure that every package flows through an “optimal” path that meets customer expectations while minimizing cost. This role reports to the Manager, Transportation Systems.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver ShipBob’s transit time, cost, and quality goals through maintaining / executing a robust and dynamic configuration
- Support day to day configuration management that will limit volume to under-performing carriers, maintain volume share targets tied to financial incentives, and protect against customer or merchant-facing issues such as label failures or stuck orders.
- Monitor daily route capacity and execute contingencies as defined in standard operation procedures
- Complete configuration standard work and testing in support of new fulfillment locations, carrier / carrier services, and / or sortation requirements
- Support carrier account configuration maintenance and audits per standard work.
- Responsible for the selection, approval, and ongoing oversight of third-party transportation providers to ensure product safety, legality, and quality during distribution. Develops and enforces contracts and performance monitoring systems aligned with regulatory and merchant requirements. Collaborates with stie and safety teams to address non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Other duties/responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Management.
- 1+ years in Information Systems / Business Analyst / Analytics roles in a logistics or transportation organization
- Strong data management and modelling skills (Excel, SQL, Python)
- Direct experience with transportation technology and volume planning
- 1+ years of experience working with various cross functional teams locally and globally.
