Role Description:
As a Senior Strategy Operations Manager, you’ll be at the center of ShipBob’s most critical and high-impact initiatives. You’ll lead large-scale, zero-to-one programs, shape companywide long-range and OKR planning, and jump into high-stakes, high-ambiguity projects that need a sharp mind and steady hand. This is a highly visible role with regular exposure to ShipBob’s Senior Leadership Team and CEO.
You’ll report to the VP of Strategy Operations, a key leader in a centralized team reporting directly to the CEO.
What you’ll do:
- Steer and execute large, cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives from zero to launch.
- Build analysis, frameworks, business cases, and whitepapers to support senior decision-making.
- Partner closely with the VP of Strategy Operations and senior leaders to shape and execute company strategy.
- Operate autonomously across multiple business units—navigating ambiguity, aligning stakeholders, and delivering impact.
- Act as a "special ops" resource, owning critical initiatives that are urgent, undefined, or without clear ownership.
- Run strategic planning cycles—ensuring business units deliver rigorous, ROI-backed plans on time.
- Transition matured initiatives to operational teams with a sound handoff plan and knowledge transfer.
- Spot inefficiencies or procedural gaps in workflows and lead effective change management initiatives.
- Influence across all levels—bringing people, process, and tech together to create scalable solutions.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- MBA or equivalent experience (e.g., startup founder, management consulting, senior operations leader).
- 6–10 years of experience in business operations, strategy, program management, or general management.
- Executive-level communication skills—both written and verbal—with experience presenting to C-suite leaders.
- Excellent data fluency, with experience using SQL and BI tools to turn insights into action.
- Demonstrated track record leading cross-functional projects in high-growth or fast-changing environments.
- Comfort working in ambiguity with a bias toward action and accountability.
- Logistics or eCommerce experience is a plus but not required.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. The full base pay range for this position in our compensation architecture is $131,209 - $218,681. In addition to base salary, this role includes the opportunity to be eligible for participation in the Company's discretionary bonus plan based on Company's plans and in accordance with Company’s policies.
