Role Description:
As the Director, Product Management (Merchant Tech), you will spearhead the development of product visions and strategies for our merchant facing technology product suites. Your role is pivotal in enabling tens of thousands of merchants to harness ShipBob's network effects, enhancing their ability to serve customers more effectively. Heading a team of seasoned product managers, you will own building technologies focused on managing merchants' product catalog, inventory, omni-channel orders, and optimizing inventory distribution and order allocation to maximize speed while minimizing total costs for our merchants.

This role reports to the Vice President, Product Management.
What you’ll do:
- Managing a team of seasoned product managers and guiding them through ambiguities to continue growth and development as world leading product managers.
- Building product visions and strategies for global merchant technology stacks.
- Collaborating with various internal stakeholders, including Revenue, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Care teams to deliver enterprise level scalable solutions.
- Engaging with merchants and external customers directly to drive alignment on the product roadmap and influence companywide OKRs.
- Translating company OKRs into actions for product managers to achieve desired outcomes.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Possess a profound understanding of retail, e-commerce, and platform software sales.
- Have an excellent track record of managing product management teams in the domains of e-commerce order management and inventory management.
- Excel in collaboration, working closely with various internal stakeholders, including Revenue, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Care teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in demand forecasting and supply management.
- Established track record in inventory distribution and movements.
- In-depth knowledge of inbound supply chain management.
- Deep understanding of machine learning (ML) and advanced algorithms, and their practical application in supply chain systems.
- Experience in promising and order allocations.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. We are targeting a salary range of $191,035 – 254,714 for this role. The full base pay range for this position in our compensation architecture is $191,035 – 318,392. In addition to base salary, this role includes the opportunity to be eligible for participation in the Company's discretionary bonus plan based on Company's plans and in accordance with Company’s policies.
