Location: Remote in Australia, Sydney preferred
Role Description:
You’ll be deeply connected to our local go‑to‑market teams (sales, marketing, and enablement) from day one. While you’ll be part of our global Partnerships organization—8+ teammates operating across multiple time zones—your day‑to‑day collaboration will be primarily with our AU‑based commercial teams. This provides strong local alignment and camaraderie, backed by the tools, structure, and proven GTM frameworks that have driven success across our North American and UK markets.
From a partner ecosystem perspective, you’ll primarily work with e‑commerce agency partners who resell, recommend, or influence ShipBob’s services. You’ll also engage with VCs, incubators/accelerators, and key technology platforms in our ecosystem (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe/Magento, NetSuite, Cin 7, and others).
You’ll be accountable for generating measurable business impact—including revenue‑driving partner pipeline (lead flow, partner‑sourced opportunities, and influenced revenue) as well as program KPIs (new partner onboarding, revenue share performance, partner activity tiers, etc.). In addition to ongoing metrics, you’ll also own project‑based initiatives that typically span 1–2 quarters—for example, launching a co-marketing program with a strategic partner or standing up a new integration or referral workflow.
This role reports to the Director of Partnerships with close collaboration and support from the broader Partner Management team—so while the role is AU‑focused, you won’t be operating solo. You’ll have access to established playbooks, partner data, and cross-functional partners who will help you hit your goals and grow the AU ecosystem. Although the immediate focus is AUS, we should expand APAC expansion opportunities. This individual will play a critical role in the future to break into new markets.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and Expand Agency Partnerships Across the AU. Identify, engage, and build relationships with agencies that support our core market of direct‑to‑consumer ecommerce brands. This includes marketing, design, development, systems integrators, and other service providers that can help broaden ShipBob’s reach within the AU
- Collaborate with Local Teams at Key Technology Partners. Work closely with regional contacts at our strategic partners — including Klaviyo, Shopify Plus, Gorgias, ShipStation, and others — to drive co-marketing initiatives, partner enablement, and shared deal flow.
- Grow and Nurture Existing Partner Relationships. Maintain and deepen relationships with current partners through regular touchpoints, ongoing education, quarterly business reviews, incentive programs, revenue share conversations, and additional engagement activities.
- Drive Significant Annual Revenue Through Partnerships. Generate substantial partner-influenced and partner-sourced pipeline through co-marketing campaigns, co-selling motions, and broader business development strategies.
- Represent the Voice of AU Partners Internally. Serve as the advocate for our AU partner ecosystem across internal teams, including Product, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Onboarding, ensuring partner needs and feedback are clearly communicated and prioritized.
- Manage Partner Infrastructure and Operational Tracking. Oversee and maintain the systems and tools that support all AU partner activity, including:
- Partner Directory
- Salesforce partner records and related lead generation workflows
- Partner pages on ShipBob.com
- Represent ShipBob at Industry and Partner Events
Act as a ShipBob ambassador at partner-focused events, conferences, and trade shows across your region. - Perform Other Duties as Needed
Take on additional responsibilities that contribute to the success of the Partnerships team and the broader organization.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Deep Understanding of the AU Ecommerce Ecosystem
Strong familiarity with the AU direct‑to‑consumer ecommerce landscape, including agencies, tech platforms, and service providers. You’ll bring relevant industry experience, existing relationships, and a clear understanding of how ecommerce brands operate and scale in the AU market. - Technical Aptitude and Integration Awareness
While you don’t need to be an engineer, you should be comfortable navigating how integrations, APIs, and ecommerce technology ecosystems work. Many of our strongest partnerships involve technical enablement, so the ability to understand integration workflows and speak confidently with technical and non‑technical stakeholders is essential. - Proven Business Development Maturity
You should bring experience owning and managing high‑value partnerships, negotiating agreements, structuring revenue‑driving initiatives, and influencing stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes. This role impacts a significant portion of our AU partner‑sourced and partner‑influenced revenue, so strong commercial instincts are key. - Entrepreneurial, Self‑Starter Mindset
This role offers autonomy — and expects it. You should thrive in a fast‑moving environment, build strategies from scratch, make decisions with imperfect information, and proactively identify new opportunities to grow the partnership ecosystem. - Exceptional Communication & Attention to Detail
You’ll interface with top‑tier partners and ShipBob leadership. Clear, precise communication — both written and verbal — is critical, along with the ability to manage details across multiple initiatives, contracts, and partner conversations. - Willingness to Dive In and Solve Problems
No ivory towers here. You should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, collaborating directly with partners, merchants, and cross‑functional teams at any level to quickly diagnose challenges and drive solutions. - Ability to Prioritize and Scale Yourself
This role is not a traditional sales position, but it does carry revenue targets. That means focusing on high‑leverage activities, delegating or automating repeatable work, and driving results through others — not just through individual execution.
