- Manage annual open enrollment and lead clear, accessible employee communications around benefits programs.
- Partner with brokers and vendors to evaluate, design, and optimize benefits offerings that align with company values, industry standards, and employee needs.
- Negotiate benefits plans and contracts to ensure cost efficiency and competitiveness.
- Audit and approve monthly benefits invoices, ensuring accuracy of employee deductions and employer contributions.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and other applicable regulations.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field
- 5–7+ years of progressive payroll and benefits experience, ideally in a high-growth or multi-state environment; global payroll experience a strong plus.
- In-depth knowledge of US payroll regulations, payroll tax compliance, and employment standards; familiarity with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and other benefits-related regulations.
- Proven experience managing payroll for distributed teams; international payroll exposure preferred.
- Hands-on proficiency with payroll software and HRIS platforms (Rippling preferred), with experience implementing or upgrading systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing and supporting workers’ compensation audits, including preparation of documentation and coordination with external auditors.
- Experience owning benefits renewal cycles end-to-end.
- Proven track record in handling retirement plan audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and timely submission of required reports.
